The following Amazon and shelter wish list items are immensely valued and play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations. Your generous contributions directly aid us in caring for the 11,000 animals that come through our doors each year, ensuring they receive the best possible care and attention.
What to Donate
We appreciate donations of clean, high-quality furniture, homewares, bric-a-brac, clothing, linen, towels, blankets, paper towels, toys for birds, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and rats, litter trays, and clamshell pools for the summer months!
You can also deliver your clothing or other goods directly to an AWLQ Op Shop or Rehoming Center.
Pet Food Donations
You can help by donating good quality dry and tinned food for our dogs and cats currently in our care.You can donate food directly at an AWLQ rehoming centre, Op Shop, Vet Clinic, at one of our external rehoming centre locations or one of our shopping centre food bin locations.
Enrichment Toys
Keeping dogs entertained in their kennels during quiet time can be challenging. You can help by purchasing enrichment toys like Kong’s from AWLQ’s onsite pet supply store. Not only will your purchase help by keeping our dogs happy and occupied, but the money spent on your purchase will also go towards the care of our animals.

Arrange a Collection of Furniture
If you have furniture or bulky items to donate, we can often collect them from you. Please call (07) 5509 9056 or fill in the form below, and we will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a pickup. This service is available Monday – Friday and is limited to Gold Coast residents due to resource constraints. Please note that we cannot transport unwanted items to the public tip.
