Every year Animal Welfare League Queensland participates in the annual community initiative hosted by the Gold Coast Homelessness Network to support those most vulnerable in our community including those with companion animals.

As part of our commitment to keep owners together with their pets, irrespective of their circumstances, our AWLQ team of vets, staff and volunteers provides support in many ways throughout the event that includes: 

- Free Pet Health Checks
- Free vaccinations
- Free microchipping 
- Free preventative treatments 
- Free pet food
- Free pet supplies (e.g bedding, collars, leads) 
- Free DSX vouchers

With some of the products being generously donated, a majority of the items have been sourced and paid for by AWLQ including the support from our wonderful vet team.
